Café Du Monde
A visit to New Orleans would not be complete without a visit
to Café Du Monde for a delicious order of beignets with café au lait. If café au lait is not your cup of tea, or I
should say, cup of coffee, you can have your beignets with hot chocolate or a
tall glass of fresh squeezed orange juice.
Café Du Monde, the original coffee stand was established in 1862 in the
New Orleans French Market. This café is
open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
It closes only on Christmas day and on the day an occasional Hurricane
passes too close to New Orleans.
